Day 1

Arrival in New Delhi. We will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel to get refreshed. There will be a welcome dinner at a local Indian restaurant. This is a free day. So, depending on when you arrive, you can wander around the city.

Day 2

We take a short flight from New Delhi to Chandighar and then a car ride to Shimla to pick up your motorcycle! Stay in a heritage hotel

Day 3

Here we ride to Kalpa. This is some of the most scenic views of the Himalayas you can get before you are in them. We ride through pine forest and past villages heading into Spiti Valley. Simply beautiful. We will have to stop to apply for permits to pass.

Day 4

From Kalpa to Kaza we ride on the dirt! It will be rocky roads and sheer cliffs. This is an incredible place to be along the Spiti River. Be careful though, it is considered one of the worlds most dangerous roads. This is just more reason to see it. Such incredible views.

Day 5

Kaza to Jispa - more off-road riding. These roads were paved once and you can see, but that doesn’t stop the winters from tearing up the pavement. Don’t forget to read the signs on the sides of the road and take some pictures. They are sure to give everyone a smile.

Day 6

From Jispa we enter the gateway to Zanskar. Behold the majesty of the Indian Himalayas and on the other side? The most breathtaking valleys you will ever encounter awaits.

Day 7

We are back off-road to see Lamayuru Monsetary. Hold onto your hats it willbe a fun and bumpy ride. We will pass by 14 mile long Drang-Drung Glacier on the way. Its a river of ice and snow up into Doda Peak.

Day 8

Its a shorter day today. We ride to Leh. On this ride we will pass through deserts on this side of the mountains and mind bending rocky landscapes.

Day 9

At Khardungla Pass we will be close to the Tibetan border. We will also be on the highest pass motorbikes can go on! This is a loop ride and once we come back you can spend the afternoon shopping at markets for all your gifts for loved ones.

Day 10

Fly back to New Delhi in the early morning and say goodbye to your ADV crew. You can get a flight from here or of course you can stay longer in India and explore on your own from here. Don’t forget to let us know if you are coming early or staying later so we can make arrangements for you!
